Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0. Other browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Safari will not work with the web login option. The Microsoft remote desktop client will need to be used instead.

  • From the Setup menu near the upper-right corner of the screen, choose Right Networks Print Driver. In the File Download - Security Warning dialog, click the Run button. In the Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog, click the Run button. The InstallShield Wizard opens. Click the Next button to start the installation.

The client software is downloaded automatically when you login through our website.

The Remote Desktop software needed to connect to Right Networks is built into Windows 7 and later.

Usage varies widely based on client-side Remote Desktop settings and the application being used within the environment.

  • Typical QuickBooks usage: 100-300Kbps
  • Heavy QuickBooks usage: 400-700Kbps
  • Internet Explorer: 2Mbps +
  • Microsoft Word: 80-180Kbps
  • Microsoft Word (font smoothing enabled): 150-350Kbps

Bandwidth Caps: If your network connection has a data cap (typical with mobile networks), we recommend using a data meter to track usage in order to avoid data overages.

Windows – RDP client version 7 higher.

Mac – RDP client 8.0 or higher.

Mobile Devices – Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0 or higher for Android or iOS. Other 3rd party RDP applications may work, but have not been tested by Right Networks.

Linux** – KRDC builds will allow connectivity. If you need to print we recommend using the TSPrint rdesktop build located here.

*Please note, Windows XP and Vista are no longer supported by Microsoft. While customers utilizing these operating systems should be able to connect, Right Networks will not provide troubleshooting around setup, connectivity, file uploads/downloads, printing and scanning. Windows 7 is the version that is best for support troubleshooting.

**Linux connectivity and printing is compatible with Right Networks, however technical support for these products is limited to our published self-help articles.

  1. Click the Applications link in the navigation pane.

    Note: If you do not see this link, you do not have access to applications through Virtual Office CS or SaaS.

  2. From the Setup menu near the upper-right corner of the screen, choose Right Networks Print Driver.
  3. In the File Download - Security Warning dialog, click the Run button.
  4. In the Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog, click the Run button.
  5. The InstallShield Wizard opens. Click the Next button to start the installation.
  6. When the installation is complete, click the Finish button.
  7. Launch QuickBooks.
  8. Right-click the driver icon in your Windows system tray, and choose to print to your local default printer, or to be prompted to select a printer each time you print. When printing from QuickBooks, select the Universal Printer on EOLLUP (this is the local driver).
  9. If you opted to print to the default printer in the previous step, items you print will be sent directly to that printer. If you opted to be prompted, a dialog will open that enables you to select a printer.

    Note: The printer prompt opens on your local computer, so it could be hidden by a remote desktop session. Minimize the remote session if this occurs.
